I’ve been watching a lot of video over here at Smart Experience HQ, prepping for a new service we’ll be announcing soon. Our society now has a powerful dovetailing of affordable video cameras, broadband Internet access, affordable hard drives, and free/cheap video services in the cloud, so I think online video is going to be a huge contributor to all sorts of education.

If you haven’t heard of Common Craft yet go watch one of their videos now. They take on important but rather techie and abstract things like RSS and tell fast, funny, insightful stories about how they work.

We just announced Dave Malouf’s class Interaction Design for Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) this week and immediately 11 of the 18 seats were snapped up. While there are far more registered PayPal customers in the world, among Smart Experience customers we’ve had more Google Checkouts (29) than PayPal (25). And so far with our latest class, it’s been all Google Checkout.
